The Hottest Red Carpet Looks From The Oscars

Last night the awards ceremony of the year The Oscars took place, as expected all the biggest stars of the big screen were in attendance hoping to scoop up an award for their work over the previous year.

Not only did those attending want to look amazing, it was also a great opportunity for the top fashion designers in the World to showcase their work on some of the most photographed celebrities.

Here’s a look at last nights stand-out red-carpet looks…

Miley Cyrus

She may not have recieved an invite to the actual ceremony, but Miley dazzled at Elton John’s annual Oscar viewing party.

Channeling old Hollywood glamour, Miley, who is only 19 looked sophisticated in this gray Roberto Cavalli gown. Everything about this look works, from the hair and make-up down to the statement jewellery.

Sometimes known for her bizarre fashion, Miley has made some fantastic stylish choices for this seasons red-carpet events, and this has to be one of the best.

Penelope Cruz

Penelope Cruz looked immaculate last night in this blue floaty gown by Giorgio Armani. The design of the dress has a regal feel to it suitable for a grand occasion, such as the Oscars. Penelope opted for a 1940’s up-hair-do accompanied by classic jewellery.

Octavia Spencer

The Help star Octavia Spencer, looked the best she ever has last night in this stunning embellished gown by Tadashi Shoji. The dress flatters Octavia’s fuller figure, hugging in the right places, with the small capped sleeves, covering the tops of her arms.

Stacey Keibler

Stacey stood out on the red carpet, in this daring golden Marchesa gown. For many this dress would have been hard to pull of, but Stacey does it looking like the perfect real life version of the Oscar trophy- no wonder George Clooney is so happy to have her on his arm.

Jessica Chastain

Jessica Chastain looked great on the red-carpet in this unusual gown by Alexanda McQueen. The gold beading on the black floaty material is exquisite, Jessica accompanies the dress with simple gold jewellery and wavy hair swept off her shoulders.

Milla Jovovich

Milla pulled out all the stops last night in this vintage white Elie Saab gown.

The attention to detail on this dress is incredible and it fits Milla like a glove. The feel of old Hollywood glamour is once again created, with a curly 1940’s hair-do and stark red lipstick.

Sarah Hyland

Young actress Sarah Hyland choose this plum gown by Alberta Ferretti for the big night.

Sarah manages to look elegant and sophisticated in this dress, whilst the plum shade keeps the look youthfull.

Victoria Beckham

Victoria and David Beckham turned up looking great yesterday at Vanity Fair’s Oscar Party. Victoria looked amazing in this stone coloured gown from her own collection.

The black belt sinched in at the waist adds detail to the simple dress, whilst showing off Victoria’s slim post-baby figure. Victoria opted for a sultry smokey-eyeshadow and nude lipstick.

Sofia Vergara

Sofia also attended the Vanity Fair party, wowing in this white Roberto Cavalli gown. The contrasting green and blue clutch bag add some of Sofia’s bold personality to the look.

Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez decided to celebrate this years Oscars at the Vanity Fair party.

Selena famously accompanied the event with Justin Bieber last year for their red carpet debut. This time Selena stepped out on her own, looking grown up in this slinky metallic embellished gown by Dolce & Gobbana.

Maria Sharapova

Tennis star Maria Shavapova stunned at the Vanity Fair Oscar party last night in this short feathered gown that showed off Maria’s toned athletic legs. She teamed the dress with nude courts, a gold sequined union jack clutch and simplistic jewellery. Maria’s messy up-do works great with the dress, for a natural look effortless girly look.
