Cheryl Cole Unveils Her New Single ‘Call My Name’

21 Apr

Cheryl Cole unveiled her new single ‘Call My Name’ across UK radio stations yesterday morning.

The track is the first single to come from Cheryl’s upcoming third solo studio album, ‘A Million Lights’ and was produced by Calvin Harris who most recently worked with Rihanna on the number 1 hit ‘We Found Love’.

I can’t help but feel slightly underwhelmed by the track, there is no doubt about it that the beat of the song is catchy, which you expect from a track produced by Calvin Harris. Cheryl’s vocals do seem slightly weak in comparison to other female artists storming the charts, and I’m still not sure if ‘Call My Name’ has what it takes for Cheryl to break into the US charts. Despite that, the track is definitely a grower.

The music video for ‘Call My Name’ is due to premiere on Vevo on May 2nd. Last month photos of Cheryl on the set of her video in LA were posted online, and it has to be said she looks hotter than ever…

‘Call My Name’ will be officially released on June 10th, with her album following on June 18th. It is rumored that Cheryl’s album will include features from Lana Del Rey and her manager
