Little Mix Release ‘Wings’ Official Music Video

UK girl band Little Mix have unveiled the hotly anticipated music video for their single ‘Wings’.

The single is the first original track to be released by the 2011 X Factor winning act.

The single has received rave reviews since it was previewed online and we can see why. The girls have incredible voices, drawing inspiration from 90’s pop acts such as Destiny’s Child and Christina Aguilera, with a modern touch of bucket loads of swag and girlpower!

The accompanying video reflects the fun, feel-good sound of the track, with the four girls performing ‘Wings’ against a number of bright backdrops.

Each band member has their own unique style which is clearly reflected in the video: Jesy has confidence and attitude, mixing urban style with a rock twist, Leigh-anne perfects sexiness with a mix of urban style and a throwback 90’s feel, Jade is the cute member of the group always seen with her trademark bow tie, final band member Perrie is the girly member of the group often seen sporting floral patterns and soft fabrics with an edgy touch of leather and studs.

‘Wings’ is due to be released on August 26th, with Little Mix’s debut album expected to be released later in the year.

Little Mix Perform Their New Single ‘Wings’ At T4 On The Beach

After winning the X Factor last year, British girl band Little Mix have yet to release any material other than their winner’s song.

However, after a hotly anticipated wait, the girls are back with their new single ‘Wings’ which they recently previewed online, before giving an exclusive performance of the track at T4 On The Beach yesterday afternoon.

Fans of the four girls will not be disappointed, ‘Wings’ has the 90’s R&B feel of ‘Don’t Let Go’- the song they brilliantly covered on the X Factor, whilst bringing in a modern twist with catchy double-time hand claps and an interesting dubstep section.

Since unveiling ‘Wings’, Little Mix have received rave reviews from both fans and music critics alike. The girls went on the impress further, pulling of an impressive performance of the track at T4OTB, whilst looking every inch young popstars.

Abbey, like Miley Cyrus at the Billboard Music Awards opted to wear nothing under her tuxedo, showing off a plunging cleavage. Abbey kept the look sophisticated by teaming the suit with nude pointed heels and silver jewellery, whilst leaving her long blonde hair loose in soft waves.

 Girlgroup Little Mix lived up to their fashion stakes on the red carpet last night. Each member of the group has their own unique style, which is clear to see here.

Jade managed to look cute yet sophisticated in this matching white short suit. She paired her outfit with black studded platforms and bold red lipstick, whilst opting for one of her trademark bow-tie necklaces to finish of the look.

Leigh-anne opted for an 80’s inspired look last night, choosing this striped crop top and skirt, along with bright accessories and big curly hair. This look really works well for Leigh-anne, as it shows of her amazing figure whilst remaining fun and edgy.

Perrie stuck to her usual hippie-chic look, with this long-sleeved floor-length black dress with a side split, accompanied by tousled waves and a  gold headband.

Jesy finished the line-up opting for a patterned vest/dress, along with edgy studded shoe boots, statement jewellery and long glossy looks.

Little Mix Perform ‘Don’t Let Go’ at NTA’s

Girlband of the moment Little Mix, made a big appearance at last nights National Television Awards singing En Vogue’s classic hit ‘Don’t Let Go’.

It was the girls performance of this song during their time on The X Factor last year which really propelled them to their victory. Unsurprisingly they once again pulled off an incredible rendition of the song last night, adding to The X Factor’s success of scooping up the award for Best Talent Show.

The four girls who have recently started working on material for their debut album, have undeniably great voices, this combined with their ‘girl-next-door’ likability makes them sure to give the likes of The Saturdays a run for their money in the stakes of Britain’s biggest girlband.
